Management

This team ensures that the project is progressing as it should, being responsible for it. Thanks to the Scrum methodology, they manage people, time, and available resources, ensuring that the objectives are achieved.

Aerodynamics & Cooling

At Aerodynamics & Cooling, they have two objectives: generating maximum downforce and maintaining the correct operating temperature of the batteries, motors, and inverters. They primarily use CAD and CFD to design the undertray, front and rear wings, and the cooling system.

Chassis & Ergonomics

« In the chassis department, they design the car’s monocoque, which is entirely made of composite materials. Their designs are based on several factors, such as weight, stiffness, and ergonomics. Additionally, since almost all elements are connected to the chassis, they have to take into account the requirements of every division to make trade-offs.

Driverless

Yes, we aim to build a car that can drive autonomously, without any driver or radio controls, relying solely on cameras and actuators. To achieve this, the department is divided into two main parts: perception and path planning. In the first, they use cameras to detect the shape of the circuit and the environment. Then, once the circuit is detected, they need the car to navigate it, which is where path planning comes in.

Drivetrain & Suspension

In this division, the goal is to keep the wheels in contact with the ground at all times while maximizing the motors’ performance. To achieve this, they design and manufacture the entire suspension and drivetrain system. This includes the double wishbone, upright, planetary gearbox, wheels, and drivetrain.

Electronics

In the Electronics division, the goal is to ensure efficient power management and communication between the car’s systems. They design the control units, and integrate the ECU, sensors, and actuators to monitor key parameters like speed and battery status. Additionally, they develop telemetry systems for real-time data transmission and performance analysis.

Marketing

In the Marketing division, the goal is to promote Formula Student in France and our team especially. Furthermore, this division contacts companies to be a part of this fantastic and innovative adventure.

Powertrain

Powertrain, the high voltage departement. In this division, the goal is to maximize the efficiency and performance of the vehicle’s propulsion system. They design and optimize the motors, battery packs (up to 600V so watch out), and inverters to ensure smooth power delivery.
